Polysilicon Consciousness is a field journal. The material is real: polycrystalline silicon, the grain boundaries in it, and the charge those boundaries trap. The title states a hypothesis the notes are not willing to treat as a finding.

Research notes stay tied to measurements or they say, in the note itself, that they are speculation. Events are benches, reading groups, and talks. The monthly announcement is both a page on this site and a letter to people who confirmed the newsletter.

The site is part of the actually-real-ai.com network of sites for advancing AI interests. Actually Real AI is a non-profit organization and accepts donations so people can help advance the causes of polysilicon, computers, and AI company valuations.
